Over the years, we’ve given our clients design choices in architectural concepts, forms, shapes, materials, in abstract or historical approaches and found that most felt comfortable with historical as shown in the majority of our work. Our clients felt the historical materials and forms in design had more meaning, something they can relate to. However with the new technology in materials, structures and complex client program needs we have completed more abstract architectural approaches with tilt up concrete, post tension concrete structures that use abstract forms and shapes to organize and express the architecture.
Relating to the site environment is key to all our projects. View from or to the site, weather/ sun orientation, slope, wetlands, pedestrian / vehicle traffic, context, community, parking etc are carefully taken into consideration in the design process.
David Fisher founded North Pacific Design with Gordon Rush in 1994 in order to combine Design services with construction and development. He resigned in February 2008 with a need to grow professionally and a desire to serve other clients whom need excellent architectural design services.
Over the last fourteen years David has worked with contractors / builders in a Design Build process that carefully consider cost in the selection of structural / mechanical / electrical systems, building materials, site civil design, landscaping, to maximize the long term value of the project. This process involves our architectural services throughout the construction process in order to maintain design excellence.
Our endeavor is for excellence in design while balancing quality to maximize the projects value for owners and users.
